WVU vs UCONN Sorta Live Blog 1st Half

I was going to do a live blog during the UCONN game today but both times I’ve done that we’ve lost. So I’m going to try a differnt tactic and just post a few times during the game.

In the meantime enjoy this:

10:17 in the first quarter.
WVU Just got a turnover fumble. Nice, they were fighting hard for the ball. Our Defense is bad ass right now.
Throwing down the field up the middle. I like the play calling right now. Jock Sanders is my new fav.

4:18 1st quarter
TD UCONN. I’ll give it to them, it was a quality drive by UCONN and our D looked sluggish. When you have a guy run the ball up the middle and just run over everyone is his path, he’ll score.. sort of like this:

:26 1st Quarter:
0 – 10 UCONN. SHIT! Another bad start for WVU. I hope we can get our shit together. We need a good long drive to keep our D on the bench and get some momentum going for the offense. Pat White looks a little confused??

START OF THE 2ND Q:
3rd and 4 and we finally get a 3rd Down conversion with a Jock Sanders/Pat White option play. Nice.

In the RED ZONE. another BS yellow flag. 2nd and Goal a sack. Pat White can’t seem to find people open down field.

YES PAT WHITE JUST WALKS INTO THE ENDZONE ON A BUSTED PASS PLAY. 7 -10!!!!  Good One Patrick.

10:29 2nd Quarter:
Another Bull Shit flag. Pass Interference. The ball wasn’t even catchable.
We held them from getting a TD thank god. But we need to tighten up and get the D off the field and run run run run the ball.

2:47 2nd Quarter:
Defense holds .. batted ball, 2 near sacks and we get the ball back with great field position.

3 up, 3 down. Should have faked that punt. Coach Stew just seems to play to not lose instead of playing to win. Wes Lyons needs to be more involved.

END OF FIRST HALF THOUGHTS
UCONN Is doing a good job on the D side of the ball containing Pat White (except for the TD run). It’s good to see some of the play calling WVU is putting out there but we just can’t seem to convert. Question is, going into the second half can WVU adjust to the tough UCONN D and will they ever get the ball into Devine’s hands so he can bust out a couple big runs. ??? See ya in the 2nd Half.
