WVU Tops Big East Power Rankings (Duh!)

Pat White makes the front page of the ESPN College Football site as WVU is named top team in the Big East going into Spring Football. See the article on ESPN.
2. USF
3. Louisville
4. Rutgers
5. Cincinnati
6. Pittsburgh
7. UConn
8. Syracuse
Does anyone else remember when Syracuse used to be at the top of the heap every year? You could always count on them, Virginia Tech and Miami to fight with WVU for supremacy. It may be time to boot Syracuse and force Notre Dame to join in football, or boot them in all other sports. (For the uninformed, Notre Dame is part of the Big East, only when it’s convenient thanks to their contract with NBC - the Notre Dame Broadcasting Channel).

Notre Dame plays USC, Purdue, MEEEEEEE-CHI-GAN, Michigan St, Navy, and some Big East teams every year. There will be a 16-team college playoff before the Irish ever joins a football conference. If they did it would probably be the Big Ten. Why not have Penn State join the Big East since the Big Ten has failed for them. You ever see their basketball team? Dreadful. The football team ain’t as good as they once were. I’d rather see the Eers play Penn St on a yearly basis than Maryland or even Virginia Teah. Oh, that’s right Joe Pa’s still there and he’s afraid to get run over by White and Devine. Someday.

Penn State is a more natural fit, but Notre Dame is already in the Big East in all other sports. Frankly, I don’t want them stinking up the Big East. They fit in with the Big Ten’s overrated and moronic fans.

Yeah man, I’d say Penn State for sure. That’s my view anyway
