WVU Tailgate Toss mega overpriced

So the tailgating season approaches and I’m thinking I want to get a game to play at the tailgate. My friend has this bean bag toss game, can be fun when your buzzin’, kind of like horseshoes. Then I saw on LosersWithSocks a pic of a WV version. Now I want one.
Anyway, it didn’t take long to find this mega-overpriced product online. I remember looking at the one my friend has and this thing would literally cost $10 worth of wood and materials to build and they are charging $99. I think i’m going to make a trip to Home Depot tomorrow. All this thing is, is a piece of particle board with a hole cut in it, propped up on two flimsy sticks with a couple of bean bags.
Just goes to show you that tailgating is multi-gazillion dollar industry in the US.

the game you speak of is commonly referred to as “cornhole”… personally i prefer beer pong or Beirut for you ol’ timers, but this game is an easy fit in the trunk of a suv/truck as opposed to a big table, and is fairly easy to play…
as to a do it yourself kit, i believe they sell these wooden generic sets at walmart for around 20 bucks, that are then customizable to whatever paint job/sticker job you deem necessary, this maybe an easier way to get an alright set instead of the actual construction from home depot… but whatever floats your boat…

to get off on a tangent, all you youngin’s calling beirut, beerpong, please get it right. i must admit that at ECU (the true party school) kids are playing beirut and calling it beerpong. but as pointed out on Beerfest we are quite wrong. so please bring back beirut and if you don’t have a paddle in hand, don’t call it beerpong. i have added a link for you new college kids.

You guys should see this new tailgate game from Baltimore its called CoolToss and is less expensive than that $10.00 piece of wood
