What to do on a BYE week
Well if you’re like me, you’ll spend all day Saturday watching the competition play.
These are the games worth watching:
12pm Noon
Fresno State at No. 14 Cincinnati – ESPN360 and GAMEPLAN
Cincy has been playing extreme so far this season and are by far leading the Big East. I expect them to continue their out of conference dominance with a big win over Fresno.
CU wins 58 – 14
South Florida at No. 18 Florida State – ESPNU
This will be an good one to watch to see what USF does without Grothe and to see if Florida State is for real this year.
FSU wins 44 – 24
Indiana at No. 23 Michigan – ESPN2
It’s always fun to watch Michigan lose and RR sweat and pout and cry. I hope it happens Saturday.
Indiana wins 24-21
Rhode Island at Connecticut – ESPN360
We play UCONN on Oct. 24th for Homecoming a game that gets more interesting every year. I hope UCONN can run the table till they come to Motown.
UCONN wins 37 – 24

Marshall at Memphis (not televised but might have local radio coverage??)
I don’t really care much about Marshall and I hate that we even have to waste a game on them. But since they are playing a possible future Big East team, if you can catch it, check it out.
Memphis wins 56 – 14
3:30 PM
Pittsburgh at North Carolina State – ESPNU
PITT heads down to Raleigh to battle NCState. NCS is 2-1 and that one loss was to a South Carolina team that just beat #4 Ole Miss last night. PITT beware. The line in this game is NCS -1 and I think that is being generous to sPITT.
NCState wins 24-17
No. 9 Miami (FL) at No. 11 Virginia Tech – ABC and GAMEPLAN
Not only is this a battle of the former big dogs of the Big East, both of these teams are ranked and the winner of this game could be the ACC champ when it’s all said and done. VT got lucky as hell last weekend and won by the hairs on Beamers Goiter. I wish they could both lose!
VT wins 42-38
Rutgers at Maryland – ESPN360
Probably the worst 2 teams facing each other this week, which always makes for a fun game. Rutgers look just a little bit better so I’m thinking they will pull this one out.. even in MD.
Rutgers wins 21 – 10
8:00 PM
Iowa at No. 5 Penn State – ABC
Iowa ruined Penn States season last year, so this is a revenge game for Penn State, IN State College. That only spell disaster for Iowa… or does it?
Iowa wins 37 – 34
Well that does it for Saturday. Should be a good day of NCAA football. Be safe and tune in for some WVU vs. Colorado info coming soon.
