What doesn’t WV have

Well I have to say one thing first, while in WV drinking with the family (cause thats what we do) I ordered a beer from a brewing company in Maryland (not sure of the name, help me out someone) and their slogan was “West Virginia deserves better”.
I have been to the brew pubs in Mo-town and I have to say who the hell does Maryland think they are. I mean 95% of the blue crabs they eat comes from North Carolina. So don’t talk to me about deserves better. I mean the coolest thing in Maryland is the freakin’ Mason-Dixon line. Anyway, I was sitting here thinking about all the great shit that WV has.
Where can I start. fishing, hunting, mountains, snowboarding, rafting, hiking , biking, full nude girly bars, football, geology, moonshine, and now freakin great beers. I don’t live in WV now, but I am damn proud to say i am from there, and if anyone isn’t, then carry your ass.
I don’t know one single person that doesn’t tear up when the WV band plays at half time (except us cause we had to duck out to get our drink on). Hey MountaineerBob post that article of when John Denver played in Mountaineer Stadium!!!!

well one thing that i can think of is a good professional sports team…
while i am quite satisfied with the
pittsburgh steelers, penguins, and if i have to count baseball the pirates.. im sure many other WV’ians arent…

with that being said…
i think that the lack of a professional team affirms our passion for WVU sports, so in that sense its technically not really a bad thing…

WV, doesn’t need a pro team we have WVU to be passionate about. NFL sucks anyway, it’s boring and a parody. The good thing about being from WV and not having any pro teams, is that it doesn’t lock you in as a fan. You can pretty much just pick and choose.. GO EAGLES!!

didn’t know you were a closet Boston College fan. I would have to agree with you guys on the pro teams. I mean one thing I hate is people that cheer for a college team just because they live in the town (Except WV fans). Not even sure if that is on topic but o well.
I mean if you didn’t go there for college then you can’t cheer for them. maybe at home, in your closet, after midnight in the dark you can cheer for them, but not have the flag on your car and wear the sweatshirts.
And to be “quite satisfied” with the Steelers, huh. but I will have to give it up to the steel city, they freakin love those steelers. but as we all know the NFC East is where it’s at.
to continue with my original rant. this is on the up-beat side. a couple of years ago my brother, cousin, best friend, and I went smallmouth bass fishing on the New River. I must admit i was a little skeptical about the trip. But my cousin assured me that it would be fun. I must admit it was one of the best trips i have had to date.
We stayed in a pretty nice house on the river. It was a fully guided tour. All we had to do was wipe our asses. And boy did i do that often. The guides (who were river rats from the rafting companies) picked us up and popped our beers, and even had packed lunches for us. My friend who the trophy for that year, but next time its mine.
You would fish in the slow spots of the river and hold on for dear life through the rapids. so if you like smallie fishing and white water rafting then you have to try this trip. The guides use “drift boats” and they are a blast (and didn’t even get wet, even when my cousin payed our guide to get us soaked).
Again What doesn’t WV have!!!

WV doesn’t have crowds or traffic thankfully…except six days a year in touchdown city.
