West Virginia battles Seton Hall at the Coliseum today

The West Virginia Mountaineers will continue to try to shrink the size of the NCAA Tournament bubble as they face the Seton Hall Pirates in front of a sell-out crowd at the WVU Coliseum. The tipoff is at 2 and it will be televised on ESPN Plus.
The Mountaineers are currently ranked 40th in the RPI according to realtimerpi.com. They have a record of 16-7 (not including the win over Arkansas-Monticello to start the season) with a 6-5 Big East conference record. Seton Hall comes to the University City with a 15-10 record 5-7 in the conference. Including today the next four opponents for the Eers have losing conference records. West Virginia must come up on the positive end of that stretch or they might find themselves fighting for a Big East Tournament berth.
Seton Hall has a solid point guard in Eugene Harvey. The 6 foot bull averages 14.8 points with 4.7 assists a game. The key stat is that he leads the team with 168 foul shots making 72 percent of them. West Virginia will have to be disciplined to defend him since he will head to the hoop. If he can’t make it to the hoop, he’ll dish it off to scoring leader Brian Laing. Laing averages 19 points and also leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game. After those two the rest of the lineup is inconsistent which is apparently why they’re struggling to be a respectable Big East representative. Keep an eye on Jeremy Hazell. He has made 63 threes so far so he must be heavily-guarded.
So break out that gold and blue and root for the Mountaineers on to victory.
