Two coaching icons faceoff tonight at Louisville.

Two of the greatest college coaches in recent history will square off tonight as WVU men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins face the Louisville Cardinals and their head coach Rick Pitino. These two men have combined 56 years of head coaching experience while accounting for a combined 1,096 wins.  These coaching legends will square off at 7:30 pm at Freedom Hall and will be televised on ESPN2.

Louisville had to suffer through upset losses to BYU, Dayton, and Purdue due in large part to the injuries of Juan Palacios and David Padgett plus Derrick Caracter’s character issues that placed him on the bench for awhile.  Now the team is in full strength which includes Terrance Williams and Earl Clark.  Hard-charging point guard Edgar Sosa has underachieved this season as he only started 4 games so far.  Louisville will throw various defenses at us so WVU must adapt proficiently.

On the other side, WVU was able to use a brand new defense called the triangle and two which threw off D James and the Marquette dribble, drive, and kick offense.  To counter against WVU’s ferocious D look for the Cards to play strong all night with Caracter and Padgett taking charge on the paint.  Should be a great game to watch. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!
