Finally! It’s time to do this thing. The 2009 NCAA Tournament! As you all know we play Dayton at 3pm on Friday.

Make sure you have your $100 Million Dollar bracket filled out before the first tip off today.

Here are what some folks are saying about the matchup with Dayton:

Jameson Fleming@ Bleacher Report says:

(6) West Virginia vs. (14) North Dakota State

The Bison will pull off one upset, but won’t have enough to beat a West Virginia team who is too good offensively and rebounds too well. Da’Sean Butler and Devin Ebanks are disastrous matchups for NDSU.

Ryan @ SportsChatPlace.com says:

Dayton ATS: 12-14, 4-2 when underdog.
West Virginia ATS: 16-14, 12-11 when favored.

Dayton is a great program that played some great games this season. They took down Marquette in November, and upset Xavier mid-February. Aside from that, though, they didn’t do too much this season in my mind. They started out strong, but didn’t play many notable opponents. After they upset Xavier, they finished the season 3-3 before being one-and-done in the conference tournament.

West Virginia had their fair share of stumbles along the way, but they lose mostly to ranked teams and they were normally very competitive in their losses—they lost to Davidson by three, UConn by six, Pitt by four, and to Louisville by three twice. Had half of those games gone the other way, they would be another three seed in the tourney facing a very different opponent.

The Mountaineers have the ability beat anyone in the country, just ask Pitt. They’re going to be able to get it done against the Flyers by double-digits.

Ryan’s Pick: WVU -8.5

President Obama picks WVU in the first Round:

And yours truly, @MountaineerBob says:

“Dayton Who?…. WVU wins big over Dayton by 17 points. I think that point spread will increase by Friday. Get your bets in early!”
