Let’s Regroup…

Come on! Let’s get our shit together. Don’t let this ruin our support of a bunch of kids who love to play football and want nothing more than to WIN.
Unlike PITT, our season isn’t over!

I’m an old grad of WV–went to school there in the 70’s and I’ve had happiness because of my ‘eers and I’ve shed tears. I’ve even gotten angry a few times. This loss was different. I have the most profound sadness and I just can’t shake it. I’m not bitter or mad. I love my team. For the life of me I don’t know what happened out there saturday night, even as I sat there on my couch in Texas and watched it unfold. I can’t imagine how Schmitt, White, Slaton, Devine, the team must feel right now. The students must be in mourning! However, all this being said, I will always love and support the Mountaineers. I guess like so many of you I wanted a NC for the team and for all the Mountaineer faithful all over the country. I guess it will have to wait another year and I’ll be there to cheer them on.

Face it, your season IS OVER! Pitt ruined what was THE dream season. So what, we are sitting home during bowl season. WVU plays one more game against Oklahoma that will probably beat WVU!
Pitt did the ultimate and finished on the highest of high notes! What springboard for next season - you win the Backyard Brawl against your bitter rival who was ranked #2 in the nation - you destroy all of their hopes of winning their first ever national championship - you crush any dreams that Pat White or Steve Slaton had of winning the Heisman Trophy!
Yeah - you got one more game and will finish the season on a huge downward spiral - losing to both Pitt and Oklahoma. Rich Rodriguez might be looking at other jobs thinking this is the best he can do at WVU.
I’m a Pitt fan and can’t ask for anything more, except some of that Fiesta Bowl check that you’ll divide amongst the rest of the Big East teams. No joy in Morgantown this Christmas!
I am not sad, I am jumping for joy!
Let’s go Pitt!

You can shit talk all you want, but isn’t the true test of a team their FINAL record?
We don’t judge a baseball player by the only home run he hit all year just as Michael Jordan proved his worth by being consistently great and didn’t just have a good game every once in awhile. Any team can win any game at any time. A win doesn’t make you great. A winning season does.
I like Pitt, but face the facts…they didn’t cut it this year. They just didn’t. I think they should be proud of their victory. They played well and WVU did not. However, shoving WVU’s face in a defeat while touting a 5-7 record is kind of sad, don’t you think?

Pitt would have benefitted more from WVU winning and then going on to win the National Championship than that one victory last Saturday. Instead, we get to listen to another year of how weak the Big East is, and how well anyone in our conference has to do to get any respect.
One of the main reasons they talk about how weak the Big East is is as follows:
Syracuse 2-10
Pittsburgh 5-7
And… if you had any brains, you would want WVU to go win against Oklahoma for the good of the conference. As brainless as I think Pitt fans are, I still cheer for them out of conference. Please remove head from butt and think outside of your Yuengling induced haze.

Not really when you look at their season. I am not going to argue about should have won games and actual wins, but they lost to Michigan St. by 3, they lost to Navy in OT by 3, and they lost to Louisville by 7 on the 1 yard line. 3 more wins = 8-4 season. And, topping off a season with a win over the #2 and bitter rival is HUGE in recruiting. Not to mention a freshman running back in Shady McCoy who had 1328 yds rushing and 14 TDs and lead all freshman in the nation in rushing and out rushed STEVE SLATON for the year. They started a freshman QB for the last 7 games, and they were 7th in total defense in the nation.
Nice - WVU is in the Fiesta, but they don’t want to be there.
Like I said, Pitt ended their season on the highest of highs and WVU will end theirs on the lowest of lows. Go PITT!

very funny Yuengling joke. lol. Why would I want WVU to win? I hate WVU and I hate Penn State. I love college football and the Big East will NEVER live up to the larger conferences. Instead of pointing out Pitt and Syracuse’s records (which most people who know anything about college football, all knew that both teams would stink this year), you should be jumping on how disappointing Louisville, Rutgers, and South Florida are this year. All three teams were there with chances to show how strong the Big Least is, but they died fast. Don’t blame the Big Least on Pitt. Blame it on teams like WVU that can’t win games they should win (29 point favorites). GO Pitt!

A true fan of the Big East would pull for WVU or any team leading the conference in the big bowl. Jackedup is probably a SEC fan. Don’t let him fool you.
If the roles were reversed I would pull for PITT and I pulled for all 5 Big East bowl teams last year. We swept 5-0. Thank god Pitt didn’t make a bowl game this year, there would be no way we would sweep 5-0 again if they (PITT) had one more game. I guess I just am blinded by my love for my Alma Mater, wouldn’t have it any other way though. Let’s Go Mountaineers!

You want Pitt in a bowl game. Especially if you think they just beat the best team in the country. I think we can beat Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, whoever right now.

Pitt beat LSU or Oklahoma? Really? How do you figure that? Wow. One big win against a White-less WVU for most of the game and now they could beat LSU? I highly doubt that. Enjoy the off season.
