This week I think I have the formula perfect. The numbers are getting pretty complex, but I think it does a great job of balancing subjective rankings (from the BCS) with objective factors such as strength of schedule, wins and losses, conference strength and the new “Big Game Factor ™ “… which asks, “Can you win when it counts?” Let me know what you think:
| Power Ranking | Team | Average | BCS Rankings |
| 1 | LSU | 16.4 | 2 |
| 2 | Ohio State | 16.2 | 1 |
| 3 | Oregon | 15.89 | 3 |
| 4 | Kansas | 15.11 | 4 |
| 5 | Boston College | 14.67 | 8 |
| 6 | Missouri | 14.56 | 6 |
| 7 | Oklahoma | 14.44 | 5 |
| 8 | Arizona State | 13.89 | 9 |
| 9 | WVU | 13.75 | 7 |
| 10 | UConn | 13.56 | 13 |
| 11 | Michigan | 13.3 | 12 |
| 12 | Georgia | 12.78 | 10 |
| 13 | Hawaii | 12.25 | 16 |
| 14 | Virginia Tech | 12.22 | 11 |
| 15 | Texas | 12.1 | 14 |
| 16 | Florida | 11.22 | 15 |

whats the methodology again.. i have a hard time understanding the rankings here without the “juice” behind the numbers.. or whatever..
I think I’m on to something. I’m working now to get the method copyrighted. Then I’ll let you inside…
Good Deal, I love these rankings (well maybe not how WVU fits into it) but it’s cool to have an original ranking.
It seems pretty fair though, will be interesting to see how it plays out for the rest of the season.
Are there any more modifications? Is the formula finished? We are going to have to start calling you Mad Doc Wilson after figuring all that shit out!
John is clueless by saying the Big East and SEC are the top two conferences. SEC sure, Big East….not so much. As of right now I’d rank’em
1. SEC
2. PAC 10
3. Big 12
4. Big Ten / Big East
6. ACC
Your wrong, Big East is at least the #2 conference way better taan the big 12.. palleezzzee

I think I have the method down pat, I doubt there will be any more changes. It takes some subjective pieces (like the polls) and mathes them with my formula that takes into account number of wins, strength of schedule, big game factors and adds the secret sauce.
