Darryl Bryant aka our starting Point Guard GONE FOR GOOD!?
Yesterday the Charleston Daily Mail reported that Huggins had kicked Darryl Bryant off the team for good. He said in a press release: “Darryl is suspended from all team-related activities” because of “violation of team rules”. Apparently he was involved in a Hit-And-Run that left him with 4 misdemeanor charges.
Bryant was apparently suspended because of his involvement in a traffic accident outside of Morgantown early Wednesday, after which he left the scene. He was charged with four misdemeanors, including leaving the scene of an accident. No one was injured in the accident and Bryant is free on bond.
This doesn’t sound like Huggins M.O. What is he up to? Since when does he not like the thugs and want them off the team? I can appreciate Huggins trying to clean up the roster and get the punks out of town, but not having a viable starting Point Guard is kinda scary. Lets hope he has something up his sleeve this coming season, but like Dave Hickmans put it in his article:
West Virginia has four incoming recruits for next season, but none are point guards.

If he broke the rules, then PG or not,he’s gotta go.
I hope this not a GONE situation.
Yes, it is very wrong and Bryant should take responsibility but to kick him off of the team is *too much!*
Maybe the West kid can play point. Can he dribble and pass and play D? I hear his Dad wasn’t half bad.
If this is Darryl’s first offense, he should be given a second chance. However, that was not so for the Graduate student involved in the Hit & Run in April. At least she called 911. She got 3 criminal charges and expelled from WVU. What’s up with that??????
He is just suspended like Jock was for offseason activities and practices. He is currently playing overseas in a junior USA team. He will be back for the season.
