Exclusive: Ohio State announces it is moving to the MAC

LSU WinsWell, not really, but they sure are playing like it.

Tonight marks the end of the craziest season ever in the history of college football. I’m sad to see it go.

Congratulations to the LSU Tigers for stomping on tOSU BuckNuts.

LSU is the first 2 time winner of the BCS Championship. Also, LSU is the first team in the BCS era with two losses to get the National Champion Title. Need I remind everyone there is a little school in WV that went 11-2, but I digress.

The LSU turn of events really should put pressure on the BCS to create some sort of playoff system. Whether it be a full playoff of 16 or 8 teams to simply a Final Four….hell, even the +1 would be nice. Who really is the Champ???? WVU? USC? Georgia? LSU? Kansas? If we had a new system maybe we could find out. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon, so I guess WVU will just have to go 13-0 next season to make sure there is no question. My sources say Slaton will return for the 08-09 season, so with the offense we are going to have next year that might not be too hard.

the tressterPersonally, I thought the game was pretty boring after the middle of the 2nd quarter. You could tell that OSU just didn’t have “IT” and they would have to get lucky to win this game. They looked uninspired, tired, fat & slow. If there is one thing that coaches should take from this years bowl games is that SPEED WINS! Flat Out. No Question. Just look at the Fiesta Bowl’s WVU, Orange Bowl’s Kansas, Sugar Bowl’s Georgia, Rose Bowl’s USC and this game.

OSU and the Big 10 really have a lot of soul searching to do in the next few months. They continually get the best recruiting classes, year in and year out and can’t get it done. I think it makes for great football and I love watching Big 10 teams lose, but I’m sure they think it sucks. Actually I know they think it sucks. I just watched Kirk Herbstreit (almost in tears) doing the post game show saying, “The perception of the majority of college football fans out there think the Big 10 ranks somewhere between the Mid American Conference and Conference USA. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA love it. Good luck Rich, you deserve it.

HuggsTown

So now we have to wait ’till September 6, 2008 to see our boys take the field in what might be our best team in WVU history. We play Auburn so we will start the season 1-0. Check the countdown, it’s going to be a while, can’t f*ckin’ wait!!!! See y’all in the Blue Lot!

Now onto the Final Four!

LET’S GOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

OSU is like a 16-yr old virgin making out in the back seat for the first time with the prom queen…he blows his wad in the first two minutes and is limp the rest of the night.

How many times is the BCS committee going to subject the entire nation to boring Big 10 football on the biggest night of college football?

I know WVU laid a huge egg against Pitt, but I don’t know what’s worse…laying an egg and blowing a chance to play for the nat’l champ game or getting to the nat’l champ game and laying a fat ass egg…TWICE!!

WVU is a joke who can’t even keep their own coach let alone beat a lowly Pitt team. All the talk before the season was undefeated season ( mostly because of a very weak schedule !! You lost to two lousy teams.

Jimbo - I’ll take WVU’s style of play over any Big 10 team any day, but thanks for visiting the site anyway. LMB.

When will the Big 10 realize that recruiting big, slow players is not going to work anymore? The conference’s most athletic team got destroyed by USC and the conference’s best team got run all around the field by a more athletic LSU team.

I think the painful realization will come next year when Michigan struggles to a .500 record trying to run an offense predicated on speed and athleticism. The conference simply doesn’t recruit the kinds of players that can make a program elite anymore.

What happens to RR when Michigan goes 5-7 next year and he blows that “most consecutive bowl games” record they are shooting for?

I think RR comes home to WV! But he’ll be wearing Green and White.
