Butt Buddies

No, folks, that isn’t your local mortician, that is West Virginia University booster and Rich Rodriguez butt-boy Ken Kendrick. Maybe someone should give him an even larger pair of glasses so he can take a look at what exactly his role as a booster entails. You see, after WVU introduced interim coach Bill Stewart as the permanent replacement to Rodriguez, Kendrick had this to say:
‘He is so overmatched it’s not even funny. He’s a nice guy and a father figure. But they had a wonderful architect and they hired the painter to build the next house. I want Bill Stewart to win and I want our program to be successful. But I feel bad for our future. I’m very concerned.’
As much as I might agree with Kendrick’s assessment that Stewart might not be the right man for the job and that his team’s big Fiesta Bowl victory has more to do with a group of young men playing with emotion that they might never possess again, Kendrick has no business making this sort of statement. After all, his job is to write checks and keep his mouth shut. If he wanted to do the hiring then he should have applied for a job in the athletic department.
But, then again, Kendrick does have a lot of experience in owning, operating and playing for successful football teams. Oh wait, nevermind. The closest he’s ever gotten to putting together a football team is as a partner in the Diamondbacks. But, wait. He does own a golf course. Maybe they play that full-contact football/golf at that course like they used to in the old Bud Light commercials. If so, then I bet his team is top-notch. He also built a state-of-the-art theatre in Phoenix. Maybe they show football there.
The bottom line is that people like Kendrick, who think that having a fat wallet gives them a reason to meddle in college athletics, are the reason that amateur sports are getting a black eye. I understand that college football is a giant business, but it’s also a business that this idiot has no experience in - outside of writing checks for the video equipment. So, Mr. Kendrick, do the Mountaineer fans a favor and stick a fat wad of hundreds in your mouth. That is, if you can find the time to take it off of Rich Rodriguez’ ass.

Couldn’t agree more. Any value of this sh*thead’s donations have been far outweighed by the embarrassment he’s caused WVU in the past two weeks. Write the checks and shut up or take a friggin hike.

It is very easy to sit back and tell everybody else the way it should be. Number One: Rogriguez is an a–hole. Born and raised in West Virginia and does what to the state???? Not only that, but attempts to undermine the program and take top recuits with him?? Stu is the man and as of this time, 7:10PM 1/4/8 L Rod (L is for big LOSER) has made no statement about the hiring of Stu. Maybe he sees in him the man he would like to be?????

If I had the money Mr. Mouth has, I would put up the money to hire to very best asst coaches money can buy. Coach Stu deserves that!

L Rod makes made more than 99% of all West Virginians…. who would skimp and save to buy tickets to watch a WV game. Familes in this state have to work two jobs each….to be able to feed their children. We pay this piece of work 1.8 MILLION to coach a game…..tell me where that is right when babies are going to bed hungry tonight…..in WEST VIRGINIA! I will step down off the soapbox long enough to say…I would have been a bit more grateful.

Let us not stray from the real subject…how many times are you in a position to play for a national championship?? In West Virginia’s case, never - it’s not like we’re discussing a program at Penn State’s level…..when faced with the opportunity to go to the championship game, and to do so only by winning AT HOME, against such an inferior opponent that u are overwhelmingly favored by 28 pts……..(a pause here to allow screaming)…………………
Well, you losers go ahead and cling to that elusive silver lining you seem to have found in the Fiesta Bowl…..

So this is what Penn State football has come to? Leaving messages on West Virginia message boards about a game that happened over a month ago? But, I’m glad you brought that up opportunities to play for a national championship. When was the last time Penn State was in that position? WVU finds itself in the top 10 throughout the season nearly every year. Penn State…uh, not so much. C’mon man. This was posted January 5th, 2008. If it was 1988, you might have an argument.
What’s the problem? No silver lining in the squeaker victory PSU had over quite possibly the worst bowl-eligible team in recent memory? I’m sure you can find some hope out of that Alamo Bowl crapfest. If not, maybe you can go talk to JoePa about the good times. I’m sure he needs someone to stop by and change out his bedpan anyway. Turd.
