Bill Stewart Named Interim Head Coach

Found this on ESPN this morning: Stewart named Interim Head Coach.
On a side note, when I was coaching I had a chance to work a few practices and camps with Coach Stewart. He seemed like an excellent coach and a great role model for the kids we were coaching. He had some funny stories and a deep love for football in West Virginia. I wish him the best of luck.

WVU needs to hire Bill Stewart as the head coach. It would be good for the team, the university and the state. It was so refreshing to see a coach praise his players not with just a pat on the helmet but a real hug. He pulled this team out of deep depression to come back and beat the #3 team in the nation. One thing for sure he won’t run off……..

heck yes. we dominated because of him. if white and slaton return next year, and play like that all year, we’d be unstoppable.

WV played an exceptional game last night. Stewart and the players really worked hard for a huge victory. The players look up to Stewart and I think he deserves the position as head coach of WVU. He show more spirt than Rodriquez and the players seem to connect with Stewart better. GO WVU!!!!
