Big East Tournament – Round Two

Yesterday was a great day for the Big East as all of the favorites won, and of course it was a great day to be a Mountaineer. Joe Alexander is starting to turn into an exciting guy to watch and the definate leader in this team that seems to be maturing at the perfect time of the year! Kudo’s to Huggins for gettting the guys ready. We took care of business yesterday and solidified a spot in the Big Dance. Unlike last year, we won’t be biting our fingernails on Selection Sunday.

Today’s matchups are going to be tough for all involved and a great preview of things to come in the tournament. I heard talk yesterday during the WVU game that there could be as many as 8 teams from the very competitive Big East being represented in the NCAA Tournament. This would be a huge statement for the Big East, let’s hope for some exciting games today and of course a WVU victory over UCONN.

My Predictions:

Georgetown over Villanova – 67-61

WVU over UCONN – 75-72

Louisville over Pitt – 68-60

Notre Dame over Marquette – 74-67
