5-Star JOSH JENKINS SIGNS!!

UPDATE 10PM

Sporting News put out a list of Signing Day Losers! Here is what they say about the ever so pathetic Nittany Lions ;)

Penn State. Another middling class is further proof that this no longer is an elite national program. Heck, it can be argued Penn State no longer is an elite Big Ten program, with the Nittany Lions clearly behind Ohio State, Michigan and Illinois and no better than Wisconsin and Iowa. Yes, this is a small class of Nits, but keep this in mind: Penn State landed just two of Pennsylvania’s Top 15 players, according to Rivals.com. Losing RB Michael Shaw to Michigan on signing day hurt.
Top players: LB Brandon Beachum; LB Mike Yancich; LB Mike Zordich

WVU has moved from #42 nationally earlier today to #37 with 25 commits. (Scout.com)

UPDATE 5PM:

23 out of 24 kids have signed the LOI. The only hold out is 4 star Running Back Terence Kerns. He is expected to sign this evening.

Benji Kemoeatu, a 6-foot-4, 325-pound offensive lineman from Kahuku, said today he will sign a letter of intent to play for West Virginia. Another great get for WVU and another big man holding the line for Pat and the boys.

UPDATE 2PM:

Turns out Josh is a “funny guy”. When he went up to the podium to announce his decision he had a Michigan Hat in his hands, then before he started talking threw it across the room and said he was going to be a Mountaineer! He’s already won me over.

WVU started the day (on Scout.com) as #7 in the Big East in recruiting. As of 2PM we are #2 only behind Shittsburgh. Nationally we are #42 and this morning when I checked we were #60. Good save.

Get up to the second info about our signing day here.

BREAKING NEWS: JOSH JENKINS COMMITS…PAT WHITES BRO COLEY WANTS TO MAKE IT A FAMILY AFFAIR

Josh Jenkins

Finally some good news on the recruiting front as Josh Jenkins, the 5 star OG from Parkersburg has decided to keep true to his word from earlier, to stick with his state and go to WVU.

This is great news. Josh is an amazing offensive lineman and Pat White and Noel Devine will need his help on the front line to help break out some 50 and 60 yard runs. Get ready folks, 2008 is looking saaweet!

To Round-Out the recruiting headlines:

  • Pat Whites brother Coley has also committed to WVU. Move over Mannings, we have a new breed of QB coming out of Alabama and West Virginia. Speed and agility and smarts, OH MY! Screw Pryor we gots us another WHITE!
  • We landed 4 star Defensive End Tevita Finau. Check this kid out here. We need some Defensive players to fill big gaps from a great senior class leaving. Finau – Welcome!
  • Jatavious Miller, a great 3-Star pick up whom we stole right out from under Auburns nose, will join us in the fall. He’s a Linebacker and will be a welcome fit in this young defensive team.
  • Jerome Swinton, 3-star cornerback coming out of Florida will help defend the deep threats.

There is a lot of news coming out today on recruits. Keep up to date with us all day as I will be posting info as news breaks. Right now we have 22 commits but not all have signed the Letter of Intent. I’ll try to stay on top of this all day, and I’ll update when Pryor decides what the hell he’s doing (as if we should care).
